Two more days of crafting countdown to christmas.

Sorry for th delay in posting I got called into Michaels to work early yesterday so no craft happened yesterday. But we doubled up today.
The kids made salt dough ornaments and pinecone/pompom christmas trees.
Ok so the trees are super easy to make.
You just need:
Medium to large pinecones with big openings.
Fuzzy pompoms
White glue
Something to protect your surface, we used paper plates.
I put a puddle of glue and the pine cone on the paper plate and had the kids dip the pompom in the glue (just a little, and yes I repeated not so much over and over). And just had the kids push the pom poms in the openings of the pinecones. They loved it.
Now the salt dough ornaments.
You will need:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup luke warm water
Pour the ingredients in a bowl and mix then nead dough til well mixed.
Roll out dough to about 1/4 " and cut with cookie cutters. Make ahole at the top of the ornament to put string through.
Bake in oven or toaster oven at 230 degrees for 30minutes till cooked through you make need to keep baking an additional 20 minutes.
You can speed up. The process by microwaving in 20 second intervals but I noticed it bubbles the ornament more often than baking.
Let sit for a few minutes....like 5 to cool before removing from pan.
Once cooled decorate with paint or glitter etc. And hang.
Have fun!
More tomorrow.  (Popcicle stick snowmen and santas)
