About Me

My photo
Ok so Misfit Crafter, let me explain. To me being a maker, crafty person, artsy being has made me feel less like a so called Misfit. So really Misfit I see as someone who just goes with the flow of life. So I am a Misfit Crafter. Also I am a mom of two beautiful beings & a wife & so much more.

Quick post ....been working on Craft Fair Inventory

So just wanted to pop on for a quick post.

So I have working on items to offer at a local Craft Fair for a few weeks now. And it is getting down to the last 10 days to work on stuff. So busy busy busy. Not to mention I work at Michaels so well um it's crazy busy there too.

So just wanted to share a couple quick pictures on some things I am working on.

First up tags lots and lots of tags, I made tag / twine combos. Some large packs and some smaller bundles.

Next up mini accordion fold brag album for 4 x 6 or smaller pics

Mini plaques  for desk or wall

 Gift Card Holder/Cards

Oh my gosh looking at these pics makes me realize how much more I still have to make.

More looks at what I am making later & I may throw in a few tutorials.

My Crafty Space...thought I would share

So I thought I would share what my  crafty space looks like. It basically takes up half my living room and a tiny spot of my kitchen. Which is helpful when I need more space I just head to the kitchen table too...lol.

SO here is a quick video I put together of still shots.

Don't judge too harshly. It still needs to be weeded out. Lots of it came from my Mother in Law that passed her collection down to me. Others from winning contest, challenges and participating in blog hops and design teams. Hopefully one day it can all be put into a room of it's own..lol.

You may want to pause a couple of the longer descriptions. Sorry about that.

Christmas Cards using New Company, Craft Smith, paper pads!

Oh my gosh I am loving this new company.

So I have bought 3 of the 6 new paper pads they came out with for Christmas. And I will most likely be going back for the last 3.

Craft Smith
I first got introduced to them with this super cute stack called Little One. It was one of those Hot Buy paper pad from Michaels.
It was so super cute it sold out fast. I Love it.

Sorry for the bad pic. But the shine shows you the embossing pages.
And this stack is loaded with them. The paper is such a nice thick weight too.
And here is a quick video of what it is like inside!

But oh my gosh you will love the 6 new Christmas pads they came out with.
Here is a video with someone you may recognize already Erin Madsen (formerly from DCWV)
You will love these pads.

And now for my cards I made using Christmasville & the Holiday Burlap pad

Halloween Day 2014

Just wanted to share a little from our Halloween Day.
Filled with parades, missing being in the parade,  first time trick or treating around the neighborhood and great costumes. Oh and my blue doors that need to be repainted. :(

So the day started off with my daughter coming to my room saying mom should I get ready now for the parade. I said sure. Me: What time is it anyway.  daughter: Oh let me see mom. oh 10:10. Me: WHAT!!! oh no.
So the parade started at 10:00 we were supposed to meet her brownie troop at 9:30 to be in the parade. See Halloween is also Nevada Day and it's Nevada's 150 birthday. So well um we missed being in the parade. I guess going to bed for the last three days on the following day. 8 am, 7am and 5:30am (making costumes) finally caught up with me and I set my alarms wrong. Yes Alarms I set two alarms so i could make sure I woke up.  Oh well. she was totally fine with it, my daughter said, it's only a parade. I felt horrible. So anyway we got up and got dressed anyway and went off to the parade to support everyone. but somehow we still missed them entirely. We even had little halloween treat bags for everyone. At least she saw her first parade. (yes her first). She was so cute in her uniform though.

She wouldn't stay still to take her picture.

Cute house on a float.

Cute and quick treat bag made from DCWV's Eek a Boo stack, Stampin up stamp from their September Paper Pumpkin Box, some Trendy Twine and a little bag I got from Michaels.
